Dear Sir,

The emerging H10N8 influenza is of great interest in global public health. This newest emerging influenza has just been reported from China. [1] Until present (February 28, 2014), 3 confirmed cases are documented. The new infection is reported as a fatal respiratory tract disease. [2],[3] As a new infection, the information of its clinical features is very interesting. An interesting data is on the basic laboratory finding among the infected cases. The present focused is on the complete blood count. Indeed, the influenza usually present as an infection with pattern of lymphocytosis. However, an unexpected pattern in the new H10N8 influenza can be seen. The leukocytosis with decreased lymphocyte ratio can be observed. [2],[3] This pattern is discordant with that of general influenza, and it can mislead the practitioner in charge to misdiagnose.
