Zika virus infection is the present global problem. The infection is considered a dengue like illness causing acute febrile illness with thrombocytopenia [1],[2]. In addition, the infection in pregnant can also result in abnormal offspring. As the infection is similar to dengue infection [3], the interesting concern is on the possibility of Zika virus infection to cause liver dysfunction. According to some previous case reports, there is no abnormal liver function test in the patients with Zika virus infection[4-6]. Nevertheless, on some reports, evidence of liver dysfunction can be seen. According to the study by Oehler et al.[7], two times elevation of transaminase enzyme could be observed. Of interest, the autopsy finding in death infected infants, there is no liver disorder [8]. However, the exact problem in adult case with Zika virus infection has to be further observed. As dengue virus infection can cause liver problem [3], the similar Zika virus should have trend to cause liver problem.
