Lymphadenopathy is not common among Thai patients with Zika virus infection

Dear Sir,

The clinical manifestation of new emerging viral infection is very interesting. The present worldwide focused in Zika virus infection.[1],[2],[3] This virus can affect platelet and result in decreased platelet count.[1],[2],[3] The effect of the virus on the lymphoid system is very interesting since the virus is considered a virus that affects the hematological system. In a recent report,[4] up to 40% of the patients have lymphadenopathy. In this report, the author analyzed available data on the seven Thai cases [5] and found that there is no report on lymphadenopathy. Based on this finding, for Asian case, lymphadenopathy might not be an important clinical feature.
