Dear Sir,

The Zika virus is an emerging febrile illness that can cause fetal problem and it becomes the worldwide medical concern.[1],[2] The atypical clinical presentation of this infection can be expected and becomes the cause of underdiagnosis.[3] An interesting symptom that is little mentioned is the gastric presentation.[4] Stomachache can be a leading clinical presentation but it might be overlooked.[5] In our experience, in Thai cases, the gastric symptom is also not mentioned.[6] Indeed, not only stomachache but also other presentation such as vomiting can be the forgotten clinical feature of Zika virus infection.[7] Based on the fact that there are a variety of clinical features of Zika virus infection and some can be atypical, the concern on the gastric symptom in Zika virus infection is needed. In addition, the study on the exact pathophysiology that Zika virus causes the gastric symptom is a very interesting issue.
