Porphyromonas endodontalis considered as Gram negative anaerobic pigmented bacterium in a genus of Porphyromonas and previously has been considered as one of the species of Bacteroides.,,P. endodontalis could be isolated from different patients with periodontal diseases and endodontic infection. Isolation of P. endodontalis in patients, which is mentioned above, is not too easy and to keep the organism alive is also very hard. Nowadays, many researches show dental implant failure. The reason for that could be many factors including low bone density, low thickness, and low alveolar bone volume; decreased alveolar cortical bone thickness; and perhaps the bacterial infections. In this letter, I would like to bring to your attention and ask if there any role of P. endodontalis alone or with other bacteria like P. corporis in dental implant failures or not? In fact many researches must be done in order to find out the fact in the future anyway.
