Dear Sir,

Academic collaboration is the basic requirement to improve the academic society. Network creation is the important thing that can lead to the success. Fitzgerald and Harvey noted for the importance of the “design and initiation of organizational networks for knowledge mobilization.[1]” International collaboration has to be well planned and run. Fitzgerald and Harvey noted that “to leverage the benefits of the whole network, attention must be paid to devising a structure which integrates research production and uses and facilitates lateral cross-disciplinary and cross-organizational communication.[1]” In biomedical society, there are many interesting reported collaboration such as the “International Collaborative Research on Infectious Diseases by Japanese Universities and Institutes in Asia and Africa.[2]”

It is no doubt that the development of academic partnership becomes an important issue in university development strategies. For such partnership development, Corbin et al. noted that “the leadership was regarded positively on vision, charisma, and capacity.[3]” Here, the authors as the administrative team of a local university in Thailand would like to report and share our experience on network creation to support the international collaboration. The case of Surindra – Niigata University relationship is hereby present. In fact, Surindra Rajabhat and Niigata University has signed Memorandum of Understanding for many years. In August 2015, the team from Surindra Rajabhat Thailand, visit to the Niigata University Japan for tighten up the international collaboration. Furthermore, the academic conference on the declaration and distribution of the journals from Surindra Rajabhat University including Asia Pacific Journal of Medical Humanities and Social Medicine (http://journal.srru.ac.th/asia/), etc., This conference is set according to concept to continuously improving academic peer review and publication.[3] In fact, these events can be useful in supporting the collaboration between universities. Furthermore, it can strengthen the academic jobs, such as Public Health Curriculum, of the universities. This case can confirm the strength of universities leaders in making the closed collaboration.

Indeed, “working together across international boundaries” is the present recommendation for improvement of public health and social development at present.[4] In fact, the important things to concern on making collaboration include “consistent communication, and more equitable resource distribution [5]” “The negotiated utilization of knowledge - a balanced power form of collaboration” is the basic thing to be setup. Last but not least, it should be noted that to improve the quality of mankind by collaboration must holistically focused. Not only quality of physicals and intelligence but also mind, religiousness, and ethics have to be kept in mind.[6] Altogether, collaboration to increase goodness such as cleanness, diligence, save, honesty, sacrifice, and gratitude must be the highest aim.
